Bridging the AI Literacy Gap for Kids
At UpNxxt, we recognized a critical gap in AI literacy education for children. Many young learners are not equipped to use AI responsibly, leading to cognitive offloading and a decline in essential skills like critical thinking and creativity. This lack of understanding can result in unhealthy relationships with AI, sometimes leading to harmful consequences. Additionally, we observed that existing large language models (LLMs) designed for children aged 13 and older often lack robust safety filters. Our mission is to provide a safe, engaging AI sandbox where children can learn foundational AI literacy skills grounded in UNESCO's AI Literacy Framework and translate those skills into creative output, ensuring they are prepared for the future.

Our AI learning missions are built to be fun and educational. Nxxt, our AI robot, guides children to develop AI literacy skills and create stories, images, videos and much more. Children that build these competencies are better prepared to live in an AI-powered world.
Bridge to real world applications
We believe in the importance of bridging technology to real world use cases. We have a range of activities that encourage children to use AI as means to collaborate, create, explore and play in real life (yes, without a screen!).
Collaborating for success
We partner with educational boards, industry and community partners, global institutions, and safety experts. Our aim is to provide learning experiences and foundational exposure to AI that will improve how children interact with technology. We work closely with all partners to ensure we're constantly supporting communities in these ambitions.
